June 17th, 2025
Battery rebates in Australia are better than ever — but with federal programs, state-based incentives, interest-free loans, and VPP options all in play, many homeowners and small businesses are unsure how to get the most out of them.
This guide gives you the most up-to-date list of what rebates are still available in 2025, what’s ending soon, which programs can be stacked, and how to get the most value from your battery investment.

How to Keep Saving After the Rebates?
While stacking federal and state rebates is a smart way to reduce upfront battery costs, a solar and battery system is still a major financial decision for most households. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you choose a system that performs at a higher level every day to ensure long-term savings.
The panels you choose can make a big difference. Lower-performance panels can lead to slower battery charging, reduced savings, and long-term impacts on your system’s safety & warranty.

In Australia, AIKO offers the most powerful residential panels available with world-leading 24%+ efficiency. Designed to deliver maximum energy from less roof space, AIKO N-type ABC panels give you higher daily output and higher savings from day one.
When paired with a battery system, AIKO panels unlock even greater benefits:
- 15–20% faster battery charging
- Shade & heat resilience for a more stable energy generation
- 5–7% increase in total system output compared to conventional panels
- Shorter payback time and greater long-term savings
