AIKO sets trends in Europe

Chinese solar cell manufacturer AIKO and Austrian energy company Burgenland Energie signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to jointly promote the use of solar energy in the Austrian state of Burgenland.
The Memorandum of Understanding includes the construction of a joint innovation centre and a visitor centre in Burgenland, as well as research and development cooperation in areas such as microgrids, energy internet and carbon neutrality, according to AIKO, a 2009-based provider of solar solutions, in a press release.
At the signing ceremony on Monday, Chen Gang, Chairman of AIKO said that both sides would make full use of their advantages and resources to help Burgenland promote sustainable development and achieve the country’s carbon neutrality goal.
Stephan Sharma, Managing Director of Burgenland Energie, told Xinhua that his company’s collaboration with AIKO will contribute to Burgenland’s quest for climate neutrality and energy independence.
Burgenland Energie, based in the Burgenland state capital Eisenstadt, is a leading solar and wind power producer in Austria.
With a worldwide distribution network, AIKO now sells products to Europe and Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan and India.
