Statement Regarding Media Reports on a Patent Infringement Lawsuit

Shanghai Aiko Solar Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “AIKO”) has noted media reports that Maxeon Solar Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Maxeon Solar”) has filed a new patent infringement lawsuit with the Munich I Regional Court in Germany, alleging that AIKO and related companies’ ABC products infringe its EP2297789 patent. Upon review, this patent belongs to the same patent family as EP2297788, for which Maxeon Solar’s application for a preliminary injunction was rejected by a Dutch court on May 16, 2024.
Following multiple verifications conducted by AIKO’s intellectual property team together with its cooperating European intellectual property law firms, AIKO hereby confirms that its ABC products are fundamentally different from the technical solutions covered by Maxeon Solar’s EP2297789 patent and do not infringe this patent.
As a globally leading new energy technology company, AIKO places great importance on intellectual property protection and independent research and development. In 2016, AIKO invented the SeperaTech ABC technology and was the first in the industry to achieve high-yield, low-cost, gigawatt-scale mass production of N-Type BC technology, bringing BC, widely regarded as the ultimate technology for single-junction crystalline silicon, into full commercial application. AIKO has also established a globally leading, comprehensive intellectual property system covering the entire value chain from wafers and cells to modules. As of November 30, 2025, the Company has filed a total of 3,500 patent applications, including 1,900 related to ABC technology, with 750 ABC-related patents granted, forming a solid technological moat.
With respect to this lawsuit, the Company will actively respond and work closely with its global partners to jointly safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. In line with the principles of integrity and transparency, the Company will promptly disclose material progress of this litigation.
