TPSolar and AIKO Partner on 50MW Solar Project in the Netherlands

TPSolar, a leading solar project developer in the Netherlands, has signed a project agreement with AIKO for the supply of 50 MW of high-efficiency ABC (All Back Contact) solar modules for the Zonnepark Zuidvelde project in the municipality of Noordenveld. The installation will cover approximately 27 hectares and is expected to generate enough electricity to power 14,000 average Dutch households annually.

Supporting Regional Sustainability Goals

The Zonnepark Zuidvelde project plays a key role in helping the municipality of Noordenveld meet its ambition of becoming energy-neutral by 2040. In addition to rooftop solar and energy-saving initiatives, the municipality has prioritized large-scale solar parks as part of its energy transition strategy. The site in Zuidvelde was selected in part due to its favorable grid access and potential for dual land use.

Designed with both energy and ecological impact in mind, the solar park integrates biodiversity features such as wide field margins rich in wildflowers, beetle banks, and hedgerows to support local bird species like partridges and other farmland birds. The result is a landscape-conscious solar park that delivers clean energy while contributing to regional nature development.

High Efficiency for Utility-Scale Success

TPSolar’s decision to partner with AIKO reflects growing market confidence in ABC technology at utility scale. “TPSolar is a highly experienced player in the field,” said Remon Hansté, C&I Business Director North/West EU at AIKO. “Their choice demonstrates once again how AIKO’s ABC modules deliver maximum yield and long-term revenue for utility-scale developers.”
