AIKO Launches INFINITE ULTRA and Z Series, Extending the Boundaries of BC Technology
June 23rd, 2026
AIKO unveiled two new product series at Intersolar Europe 2026: the fourth-generation INFINITE ULTRA and the Z Series. Together, they set new benchmarks for mass-produced photovoltaic modules, with the INFINITE ULTRA achieving efficiency of 25.6% and power output of up to 690W.
Building on the proven technologies of the G3 INFINITE series, including InvisiRibbon Technology, ZeroGap Technology, with using low dopant, high resistivity wafers, the fourth-generation INFINITE ULTRA introduces a new round of innovations at both cell and module level, pushing power output and efficiency to new highs without increasing module dimensions.
At the cell level, AIKO has increased average mass-production cell efficiency from 27.2% to 27.4%, contributing approximately 5W of additional module power. The improvement is not the result of a single breakthrough, but of multiple refinements throughout the cell manufacturing process, including front surface texturing reconstruction, trench structure optimization, tunnel oxide engineering, texturing optimization under the poly-Si layer, advanced hydrogenation, and poly-Si layer enhancement. Each individual improvement contributes only a fraction of a percentage point. Together, they demonstrate AIKO’s continued commitment to extracting every possible increment of efficiency from the ABC technology platform.
At the module level, AIKO has further reduced non-cell area by 20% compared with the previous generation. This enables more active photovoltaic area within the same module dimensions, contributing an additional 7W of power output.
Achieving this reduction required overcoming one of the industry’s longstanding technical barriers: reducing creepage distance without compromising reliability or safety. Historically, attempts to minimize inactive module areas have faced three major challenges: insulation breakdown risk, moisture and oxygen ingress, and void formation during lamination.
AIKO addressed these challenges through a series of innovations. A proprietary nano-scale insulation coating enables reliable electrical insulation even with reduced creepage distances. The ABC architecture itself provides enhanced resistance to moisture-related degradation through its dual-side passivation design and the elimination of materials more susceptible to corrosion. In parallel, AIKO collaborated with equipment suppliers on process and equipment innovation, effectively eliminating void formation risks and supporting long-term module reliability. The result is a new generation of modules that delivers higher power density without compromising durability, safety, or long-term performance.
For utility-scale applications, the 66-cell INFINITE ULTRA module delivers up to 670W while maintaining an 85% bifaciality factor. Under equivalent bifaciality conditions, the module provides approximately 20W higher power output than TOPCon 3.0 products, offering developers additional energy yield and improved land-use efficiency.
Commercial deliveries of both the fourth-generation INFINITE ULTRA series are expected to begin in Q3 2026.
AIKO also introduced the new Z Series, developed specifically for the premium residential market. Designed around four core attributes—Ultimate Aesthetics, Ultimate Power, Ultimate Reliability, and Ultimate Fire Resistance—the series combines the performance advantages of ABC technology with the design and safety requirements of high-end residential installations.
The modules feature a truly uniform all-black appearance, with no front-side busbars, consistent cell coloration across the entire module, reduced dust visibility, and a fully black rear side. The 54-cell format delivers 500W in an all-black module smaller than 2 m² and weighing no more than 25 kg, approximately 25W higher than comparable TOPCon 3.0 products.
To match the lifespan expectations of residential houses in Europe, the Z Series is backed by a 40-year product warranty and 40-year performance warranty. The modules also incorporate multiple layers of fire protection, including hotspot temperature control, arc-fault prevention technologies, and high flame-retardant encapsulation materials.
The introduction of INFINITE ULTRA and the Z Series marks another milestone in AIKO’s ABC technology journey. In just four years, AIKO has increased mass-production module efficiency from 22.1% to 25.6%, while raising module power from 570W to 690W. The latest generation reflects AIKO’s continued pursuit of one objective: capturing more solar energy within the same area and converting it into electricity more efficiently, further expanding the potential of BC technology.
Visitors to Intersolar Europe 2026 can experience the INFINITE ULTRA and Z Series at the AIKO booth (A1.470 / A1.570).
