Taineng Medical: Building a Low-Carbon Future for Medical Manufacturing
AIKO ABC solar solutions reduce energy costs, support reliable operations, and create a replicable model for low-carbon medical manufacturing
Hebei Taineng Medical Devices Co., Ltd. sought to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. Its cleanrooms, automated packaging equipment, and environmental treatment facilities depend on a stable power supply, creating substantial electricity demand and expense. Local policies also support green, low-carbon energy.
Project Results
4,500 tonnes
Annual standard coal savings: approximately
8,554.5 tonnes
Annual CO2 emissions avoided
23,762 trees each year
Equivalent to planting approximately
15 million kWh
Annual power generation

Project Challenges
Buildings, trees, and other nearby objects create extensive shading, while the medical manufacturing environment demands a high level of safety.

Solution
To make full use of the site’s available land and structures, the project deploys modules across multiple settings, including open ground, waterways, corridors, walls, and rooftops. This raises the utilization rate of suitable site space to 70%. Approximately 18,000 AIKO ABC modules activate 50,000 square metres of combined space and provide a total installed capacity of 12 MW. With mass-production delivery efficiency of 24.4%, ABC modules enable greater installed capacity and more generation within the same area. Shade optimization limits the effect of partial shading to the shaded cell, supporting reliable generation across diverse applications. Because outdoor modules inevitably encounter dust, bird droppings, and leaves, high-temperature protection helps reduce hotspots and fire risks. A temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C and low degradation – no more than 1% in the first year and 0.35% annually thereafter – support stable, efficient long-term operation. The grid-line-free front creates a clean appearance that integrates well with the site’s architecture. AIKO is helping Taineng Medical reduce energy use and costs while establishing a replicable model for low-carbon industrial transformation.
Client
Testimonial
We had three non-negotiable requirements when selecting modules. First, high conversion efficiency and sufficient plant capacity; second, a high level of safety; and third, suitability for different applications, including effective performance under shading. AIKO ABC modules met the customer’s requirements for high power, high safety, and strong returns. Since the plant began operating, the factory has reduced its reliance on the conventional grid and achieved cost and efficiency benefits exceeding RMB 10 million. The project sets a benchmark for combining solar power with the medical industry’s green transformation.
